EA keys for pc/console

Someone kindly donated a PC EA key (I think that's what it is). I want to gift this to a console user. Is this possible? Are EA keys linked differently to different platforms? How does gifting keys work
This was the message I received from a guildie: I've just have this from GGG: +1 Path of Exile 2 Early Access Key xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx Used: false This key can be redeemed on the Path of Exile website.
