Act 2 boss WTF

First 3 times I fought him he did a screen wide wind like AOE that I couldn’t hide from (tried using him as a block), nor could I potion through. Fourth time he didn’t and I beat the fight. Can someone explain that part to me please?

the 2 thingys that fly beside him "charge" forward and charge an explotion its better to run then dogeroll at the start.

The "sandstorm" move that covers the entire screen got me the first time too. Your ally Asala(?) is the safe zone. Wherever she is, run to her. She creates a bubble that's safe. Pretty hard to see because it's a yellow shield against the sand-colored wind across the whole screen. It's a callback to Zana protecting you from the shaper/elder in POE1.
