They randomize the map for every character, and the quest icons don't stand out. The randomization has to go, it is pointless and only serves to mess with us. The icons could do with some kind of glow or animation.

Yes, I found act 2 extremely confusing for several reasons:
1. Traveling to the different act 2 areas requires interaction with that vehicle control thing, rather than the regular map/waypoint system. I know it's a neat concept to put the player in charge of that vehicle's heading, but IMO it just adds confusion and doesn't really have a gameplay benefit. 2. Some quests in act 2 have seem to have dependencies on others. There was one quest where I had to insert some item or key into a socket on a particular map to proceed. I ran through that gigantic map looking for a key to put into the socket multiple times, thinking that I missed it somewhere. I thought it was bugged and recreated the map a few times but never found the key. When I asked in chat for help, a kind player told me that I need to do some other quests first to get that key. Nothing in the game's UI pointed out those quest dependencies. The map/quest UI has confused me in general, not just act 2, in some other instances: 3. The event icons (e.g. bosses) on the map don't clearly show what is and is not completed. The completed and non-completed icons visually look nearly identical - there's only a tiny difference in color shade. Using significantly different colors, or sizes, or other icons would help a lot. 4. Some maps/quests require a lot of map exploration, either to find some NPC, item, interactive object, or path to the next map. Sometimes the maps feel overwhelmingly large, I feel like I've already explored everything, but then notice that there's a tiny patch of fog-of-war left at the start of the map, so I have to go back all the way just to check every nook and cranny. I wish there'd be some kind of quest navigation indicator that would point you in the right direction, either based on duration (e.g. if you haven't found the objective within 10 minutes) or proximity (e.g. if you're getting close, it will show you, so you don't accidentally walk past and miss it). Loving the game so far, so keep up the amazing work, GGG. I just hope the map/quest UI could get some refinement. Last edited by code255#6612 on Dec 31, 2024, 5:13:25 AM

its stupid confusing. thats it. its not even disputable.
should just be regular wps like act 1 as simple as that. remove these useless gold dot things to constantly have to go back to the Caravan it also makes you load your game 3 times to get to your locations act 3 is the same thing. first map have no town portals. so when you get there even if you long did it, ur stuck there and at the end of act 3, your stuck always getting to the empty wp in front of the big time portal and have to go in it to go to the town to use npcs then go where ever you need to go . .. loadings ? 3x again including the loading times that dont belong in POE2 of about 3 to 5 seconds each even on NVMe takes aprox total 10 seconds just to keep playing waste of time but am sure they are aware and will fix this. and to make things even worst, theres clowns that replies with "Git gud." on important topic that have nothing to do with gameplay. you ask these people 2 + 2 and they reply "red" |

There were 2 confusing points for me in A2 in my first playthrough.
1. Where and how to use that stupid horn. 2. How to leave A2 for A3 after everything is done. Had to ask.. |
