Ascendancy issue

Hi,

I did the second trail of the sekhemas using the second gem in act 2. Unforunatley once I collected the rewards from sarcophagus i left the room thru the portal and didn't get any ascendancy points. After leaving the room there was no way to go back. Does it mean I lost permanently possiblility to receive those points?
