Zero energy shield

My character is currently sat at 0/0 energy shields and I can't figure out why. This is confirmed in the character screen.

I'm not sure how long this has been the case but I noticed it when I selected the eternal youth passive in the tree and noticed my potion was not filling up my energy shield. I have since removed the passive but have no energy shield.

As I say. I only noticed at hits point but could have been something prior to this that has caused it. I have removed all of my items and all of my gems and but no difference. I haven't removed all of my passives yet but I can't see any that would effect it in this way. Was hoping someone might point me in the direction of something I have missed before I went down that route.

SOLVED

As expected turns out I'm an idiot. I had no shields equipped on my items.

Had several Passives granting more energy shield as a percentage but forgot to take in to account that you actually need to have some shield equipped somewhere for this to take effect.

I'm going to hide behind the fact I'm new to POE.
