Inability to use the same support gem on different skill gems is insane

There are a lot of things I have given a pass for so far but this one is just unreal.
Apparently, it's too much of an advantage to be able to use a support gem of the same type on a second skill gem?? If this isn't a bug then that's just sad. Play with another support. In poe, 99% of builds only use only one support gem outside enlighten and few others. Deal with it.

I wouldn't call it "insane". But they are making our builds less optimal to force some sort of diversity. This is one of those mechanics that I have to taste a little, and can't really judge it short term.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

I dont know about that change. I mean if we could use support gems multiple times half my skills would be the same. What i more worry is wether there are enough different skill gems later to properly supporr my skills. I am unsure about that

" This is where I'm at. My gut reaction was "this is bad", but playing with it some, it does force me to sit down and consider where a gem needs to go. Doing a bleed build, I don't just start with Bleed on every skill like I otherwise would. I'm forced to consider where the best skill for it is. Is it the big AoE that will hit may targets? The big single shot that will stack a huge bleed? My minions so it's just a problem that handles itself? The longer range one that will allow me to bleed and kite at the start of the fight? |
