Charged Staff not working with supports it recommends/others

Been trying to find a 3rd support gem for my Charged staff after Duration/Perpetual Charge. However, despite picking skill gems that should work, it keeps saying they're not supported. I eventually gave up and picked maim as it was something the game recommends, but it still says it is not supported even though it lets me socket it.



Is it working even though it says it doesn't? Am I just stupid

EDIT: I am stupid, kinda. After looking under the advanced description and going to the SHOCKWAVE it does work. I think that this clearly should be fixed on the UI to show it works, but at least it does :)
