Where progression?

I'm playing my second character and the lack of progression is insane. I still use the same three skills from act 1 to 3, same playstyle, support gems are beyond boring and sometimes it feels I lose power as I progress.

Poe1 leveling was fun cuz a single support could be game changer. Leveling a Ranger using caustic arrow in act 1 is pretty shitty, right? Once you get a Volley Support, you feel the huge power spike and its game changing. We don't have that on poe2. WTF is my support gems? 25% attack speed? 40% aoe? its lame.

2 links for half of the campaing is also pretty frustrating.
