Here are my initial impressions of Path of Exile 2 after playing for about 16 hours and reaching Act 2. The game is heavily focused on fetch quests, with massive maps that take a significant amount of time to explore and complete. Unfortunately, the rewards for these efforts—mainly skill gems—feel underwhelming, as there are no noteworthy items or weapons to make the grind feel satisfying.

On the positive side, the bosses are unique and enjoyable to fight. However, the overly long maps make the overall experience feel tedious, especially when the payoff doesn’t justify the time investment.
I understand the game has just launched, and improvements are likely on the way. But if the intention is to slow down the pacing to encourage players to spend more time in the game, this approach might backfire. Many players, including myself, aren’t finding the slow gameplay and progression enjoyable, which could hurt long-term engagement.

I hope the developers address these concerns soon to make the experience more rewarding and engaging for everyone.
