It does get better
Earlier today, while being a lvl 13 monk, I wrote a post saying the PoE 2 combat was sluggish, tedious and made me wish I were playing PoE 1.
After reaching the lvl 15 tier of abilities, I finally unlocked a skill worth playing that feels strong, fast and exciting and it completely redeemed my experience of the game. (In this case, Ice Strike with Tempest Bell) No more did I get completely surrounded by white enemies and stunlocked while having low DPS and escape tools. Don't get me wrong, I found myself completely miserable until then; somewhat demoralized about Poe 2 in general, even though I enjoyed the new crafting, art style and boss design. Hopefully, every class' experience gets better as mine did after a certain point. (I'm aware that, for example, minion skills are having a rough time constantly dying and I hope those kinds of issues get solved soon) I wish you all the best this weekend! " i use it to my advantage with explody support gem lol, minions become petards during boss fights are you using WASD? I'm tempted to jump into melee again but after some frustrations with controls i'm lil hesitant lol, much prefer to stay with point and click at least for now. |

Not lvl 15 yet, but some of the other skills work very well on monk before that.
And yes every level makes it feel better. I am loving the game and level of difficulty. |

@aintcare
Good thinking with the minion exploding tech. As to WASD, I started with it to try it out, but I eventually went back to click-to-move. Just a matter of preference. :) @irres Ya, I found the skills to work well enough, but their flow and synergy felt clunky and a bit weak outside of power charged Falling Thunder . It really opened up for me with the tier that has Ice strike and Wind Blast. :D Last edited by Remcycle#3184 on Dec 7, 2024, 8:48:52 PM
