POE2 feels like a 5 hour version of POE1 Act1 Twightight Strand
Ever since GGG made poe1 act1 a slog, where stupid simple enemies could 2-3 shot your slow moving, slow attacking character swinging away with a broken glass bottle/branch/rusted metal sword, it became something that most players would just rush quickly through as fast as they could. Skipping all the enemies to kill Hillock and move beyond it.
Why? Because that part of the game, slowly attacking boring enemies that caused you to use a health potion after every one you fought, chasing the stupid ranged crabs that made your attacks "wiff" in the air as they moved out of your range during your attack... just wasnt fun. Players rushed past things to get to the parts of the game that are more fun. Enter POE2.... which seems to capitalize a lot on the stuff they changed in PoE1 act 1, only for zones well beyond the first one you start in. 5 hours in, and it still feels like you are on that damn beach, slowly attacking, losing 80% of your health to 1 attack, moving slow, and getting scraps and rags as items to wear and fight with that dont really improve the situation at all. Most of the time your basic starting attack is more effective than any of the rank 1 ability gems you find. (at least on mercenary and monk) Is this the intended goal? One of those ridiculous "it gets good 20 hours in" mentalities that shouldnt exist anymore? Last bumped on Dec 7, 2024, 10:47:00 PM

Poe 2 is a maximally approximated ruthless mode from Poe 1, which by the way almost no one played, why they did it, the question is open, I personally skip the game already, I do not like such gameplay.

I mean if we actually had loot or life on the tree then it would be great.
Only way to get life is from gear or str travel nodes on the tree. And there's no loot. |

" Think of the good side... we dont need a loot filter anymore :P |
