Energy Shield modifiers doesn't work

I got a rare helmet "Entropy Crest" twig circlet, with a +16 to ES max and 15% increased ES. But my ES is still just the base amount from my items, without the modifier bonus. The helmets other modifier is +22 to max HP, works just fine.
