Movement Help

I am used to mouse movement in games (I am no expert gamer or anything), but in PoE2 I find it difficult and also very ineffective.

I tried WASD but running backwards / sideways and only 4 directions felt very odd and retro to me. The benefit was that I could cast spells etc while doing this haphazard movement (when not doing the non-stop dodge/dodge/dodge at boss - yes there are few in 1st few zones which telegraph nonstop :().

What am I missing - is there a way to use mouse movement (and also cast spells/skills while moving) which I am missing? Or a better way to use WASD?

Allocate skills to tthe QWERT buttons by going to the sklils menu (Press G)

Then you can allocate right or left mouse button to Move Only (right click on the skill box)

With keyboard you can do 8 directions : pressing two (non-opposite) keys at once moves you in the diagonal direction.

From what I can tell, it's ONLY possible to cast and move at the same time. This is unlike POE 1 where it's not possible to cast and move.

It would be nice to be able to attack in place and cast spells instead of moving into packs of monsters all the time.

Click to move is currently broken. :(
