POE 2: My fps drops every 2-3 seconds from 110+ to 10-25 no matter what I do.
Hello guys, I think there might be an optimization issue. No matter what I do in game even if I just open settings menu, my FPS drops to 10. Especially when monsters start spawning and I start shooting the game becomes impossible to play. I run battlefield 1 and diablo 4 on 120+ FPS without any issues guys. I play on a laptop Asus TUF dash F15. here are the specs:
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 6GB VRAM RAM: 16 GB DDR5 4800mhz SSD: 512 GB (enough space on it) CPU: Intel core i7 12650 H System: Windows 11 home (came activated when I brought the laptop) As for game settings I tried everything starting from higher settings to lower settings and mixed balanced settings. I tried DX 11 it was a disaster. Worse than I already mentioned above. Vulkan and DX 12 are kinda similar. I Tried with Nvidia reflect on, off and on+boost. With On and On+boost the fps is more stable but I get same fps drops as soon as I start walking. It didn't matter if I set to DLSS best performance or if I changed any other settings the game is unplayable. I have installed the latest driver updates, updated Nvidia 3 times just in case. Set the game to high performance in order to make sure the game runs smooth but didn't take any effect. I run diablo 4 and battlefield 1 with 120+ FPS so there is nothing wrong with my laptop at all. in addition when I open Nvidia application it says: "unable to retrieve current values, starting and closing the game or app, or editing the settings should fix the problem". it has an exclamation mark on game logo in Nvidia app. all other games have check mark. I started and ended the game/app 7 billion times, uninstalled the driver completely and installed it again. The issue was not fixed. That shouldn't be reason that causes my fps drops but still wanted to mention if that's anyhow helpful. I tried all possible in-game settings combination but it is simply unplayable. It seems like a joke, but for me it was solved by putting a video on YouTube in the background, I didn't have any more fps drops.
