CPU spikes every 2 seconds or so that get worse and reset on relog.
Every 2 seconds or so i get a CPU spike. When i relog the spikes are almost unnoticable but continue to get worse the longer i play. After around 1-2 hours they start to become noticable lags, i then have to relog.

I am also getting CPU Spikes! Every 3 - 5 seconds my frames go from 130 down to 20! It will randomly fix itself for a short time but always back to the cpu spikes.

Didnt mention that relogging / restarting does not help me. I found many posts on reddit about this from the past 3 years on poe1 and they all mention changing power options and to default to your main GPU. Sadly none of the fixes they mention work for me.

I stopped playing yesterday due to my frustrations with the constant spikes.

I also have these spikes at random intervals. Sometimes they last 3 seconds, and sometimes they last 10+ seconds. They introduce a very serious framerate stutter while it is ongoing. Outside of these spikes I'm locked at 144 fps.
Hardware: 7800X3D and a 4090. Game is installed to NVME SSD. Edit: I kept task manager open on my second monitor to look over at the next time the spikes happened. I wondered if maybe some other program was causing the issue and PoE was just manifesting the interruption, but lo and behold when the stuttering occurred from the spike I saw my CPU usage for the PoE2 executable in task manager jump from ~20% to 32%. When the stuttering abated my CPU usage went back down to 20%. It really does appear to be a problem within the game itself. Last edited by Subjugation#0339 on Dec 7, 2024, 9:09:22 PM

The spikes become visible when hovering over items. I try to upload a clip with the issue.

This! It started happening today at later part of act 3.
Maybe its problem with multithreading? Last edited by K1kk0m4n#4210 on Dec 8, 2024, 5:24:41 PM

I have the same issue as in the gif someone above posted. As a workaround I switched from DX12 to Vulkan, and capped fps at 60. It still happens, but much less, it's playable.
By the way, that bug gets on a new level entirely when playing co-op. GGG please prioritize it. RX 5700XT i7-10700KF GI turned on, FSR quality, multithreading on, dynamic culling and dynamic res on. |

Game runs fine at 60 fps and every 5 sec the game freezes for 1 sec, making bossfight almost impossible and it is also very annoying while playing regularly.
It happens even if i stand still in a zone already visited, so i doubt this is due to shader compile or texture streaming, as i got 6gb of vram and the game uses around 2gb at max with medium textures. Tried swtiching renderers and even servers but it doesn't help. cpu: 2700x, gpu: 2060 rtx, 32gb sys ram VGA drivers are up to date, and no background processes which would impact the performance.
