Confused about linking accounts

Hi guys

I am little bit confused about linking accounts with Path of Exile 2, so I have two quick questions

1. I have PC and PS5, I have linked my PS5 account and from what I know (correct me if Im wrong) if I use my console to buy something from microtransactions shop for example stash tabs, then it wont show up or it will show up but becomes unavailable when I log in on my PC and vice versa am I right? How does it work with Xbox, is it the same as PC and PS5 or it will show up and can be used on both PC and Xbox if you buy stash tabs on Xbox or PC?

2. Is linking account the same as merging? or linking only means that I can use the same character on PC and PS5 without microtransaction stash tabs and merging means that I can ask support to move my stash tabs for example from PC to PS5, and if I do ask, then the stash tabs becomes unavailable on PC or will it become one and can be usable on both PC and PS5 after merging?

If Im correct about merging, but its not possible on PS5 then lets assume we are talking about Xbox instead of PS5

Linking doesn't work. And that's it. Maybe in a week, when they clean up this mess.
