Ghost Dance is bugged with weapon swapping, stops gaining stacks
Steps to reproduce:
1. Equip Ghost Dance and enable it. 2. Watch your Ghost Shroud stacks go to 3. 3. Swap weapons. Expected: Either you should retain the 3 Ghost Shroud stacks or Ghost Shrouds should start stacking up to 3 (depending on intended functionality). Actual: You lose all of your Ghost Shroud stacks and they never stack up. (The Ghost Shroud stacks still exist on the other weapon if you swap back.) Additional notes: This appears to be caused by one weapon hitting max stacks. For example, you can stack one weapon to 2, then swap weapons, stack the other weapon to 3, and swap back, and you will stay at 2 stacks on the original weapon, as the other weapon is at 3 stacks. Speculation: Ghost Shrouds shouldn't be based on the weapon you equip; it should be one global stack to 3 rather than a separate stack per weapon. Hey,
thank you for reporting this bug, as I have also been encountering it. However, I also encountered some other weird quirks with Ghost Dance, which I would like to add, maybe It is worth converting this thread to a "general Ghost Dance bug compilation" of sorts. 1. My Ghost Dance stacks up to 4 and their on hit effect seems to be inconsistent. I could not verify a pattern/reproducable case yet, but there have been instances where I was being hit (Wind Dancer Attack triggered), while not on full Energy Shield and did not lose a stack or recovered Energy Shield.
Stacks
![]() 2. Ghost Dance's advanced skill information UI lists hit damage which makes no sense to me, as the skill does not hit or deal any form of damage under any circumstance.
Damage
![]() 3. Ghost Dance's on hover tooltip does not list any additional effects from Quality. I did not find a Gemcutters Prism yet to add quality to the gem and see if anything changes, so this could be intended. But even if that is the case (which I doubt), I think from a UI/UX design approach, it should atleast inform players that quality on Ghost Dance does not add anything.

I'm new to PoE(so forgive me if I'm missing something) and I'm fairly certain that Ghost Dance is broken with weapon swap. I've just done some testing for about 30 minutes and Right now I'm losing fights across the board on my second run through the game because hits are going straight to health and not consuming stacks after weapon swapping to wand for power charges.
I'm very hesitant in general to use this phrase because it's been so watered down but this appears to be a game breaking bug at this point. And on the off chance that this isn't a bug I think having some additional clarity put into the documentation is in order. |
