Support gems being sold when selling weapons

When you change a weapon with a support gem on it, the support gem stays with that weapon, even if the new weapon has the same skill as the old one on it. When you then sell the old weapon, that support gem is gone.

My intuition was that the new weapon would receive the support gems, or that they would go into some sort of storage. As it is, I feel scammed :(

If this is working as intended, there should at least be a warning when selling a weapon with support gems on it.

If anyone else encounters this: The Support Gem does indeed go into your inventory, I just put it into my stash thinking it was some currency item. So if one goes missing, check your stash.

Nope, the gems are gone. Checked inventory and stash and they are nowhere to be found.

2. You can't put support gems in weapons.

You can put support gems in skills that come from weapons, go educate yourself.

This is brutal.. I lost 3 support gems this way already :(

i hit the bug too, now it won't even let me buy the support gems again. i am just locked out of them

Just tried this on a character: Equipped a crossbow on the merc i am currently on, put martial tempo support on crossbow shot, sold the crossbow. Martial tempo did not go to my inventory.

Since I am now not using a weapon due to selling my crossbow, i have Punch in my skills. Punch now has Martial Tempo's skillgem.

Used the buyback tab, re-purchased the crossbow, equipped it. Martial Tempo is showing as in Crossbow Shot when repurchased, where it was originally.
