Shift on a node not working?

So if you hold shift on a node its supposed to show u what skills/abilities work with that node
but i got a grenade skill and shifted on a grenade node and it shows up none of my atacks scale with it
obviously it does
but for example node that says something like "12% increased damage with 2 handed weapons" only showed 2 of my atacks my my crossbow show and my armour piercing round
does that mean that it doesnt scale with my freeze shot or my fragment shots or is it a case like with the grenade node where it doesnt show up?
