Steam Buyers got screwed hard

Cant extract the client before launch so Steam Buyers will end up in queue and probably wont be able to play today. Thanks.

Yeah literally just figured that out, I would of bought the early access on the official website if I knew
Not really GGGs fault, it's just how steam handles pre-loading. We've known for years that the standalone client is better in general too.

I doubt it will matter in this case anyways, the servers will probably blow up or kick people out so I doubt steam players will be at much of a disadvantage by the end of the day.
Ya unfortunately this on steam and its how it has generally worked in the past so its just how it was/is. You still get to click play right away. Just gonna have a high queue like many others who clicked play at 2pm.

I bought the game on the website, still prefer to use steam and will not download the standalone client just for this. queue is usually fast enough. I expect there to be a s***show at launch with the amount of people interested, so if there's a reason for me not playing tonight, that will most likely be it :)

Hint, it really is not. They're both pretty much the same.
It's not Steams fault. GGG could have released the game on steam an hour early so people can unpack and just launch the servers in time. They could have released an hour early and it would not have made a difference. The normal client can also already login in advance.

If they did this, people would be shouting at GGG for letting the steam players have early access, even though that too would be wrong. It's a no-win for GGG, may as well score points with the people playing on native client and help push towards it.
Epic is no better.
Normally I use the stand alone client but i couldnt download it last night due to error after error. So i downloaded steam. Everything was good with steam until it had me try merging my account and then this site was down so I couldn't. Since its been back up I still cant merge because now steam wont let me sign in on a web browser for some reason. I tried resetting passwords, signing out of the app. reset my router and nothing works.
