I said it was in the most recent post from December 5th
We previously mentioned that a torrent would be available for pre-download. This was with the intention that the download would still be available if our patching servers had issues from the potentially immense load. We've instead decided to let our patching servers bear the full brunt of the downloads, as it would be better to catch any issues caused by this now so that we can make our servers more resilient for launch. |

Basically making a compressed multi file installer instead of deploying a non fault tolerant patcher that requires the download going correctly and server being up 100% while 1 million people are downloading the same file. But hey its the best game in the world. So there is that... |
