Standalone to steam transfer / later download

I'd like to pre-download the game on standalone client and download it on steam while I sleep later on, is it possible to transfer or just re-download later on via steam or am I somehow locked in to standalone at that point?

if they are linked then it is the same account, same chars, atleast that is how POE1 is for me

Is that means my PC standlone account had the EA access,I linked it to my Steam account then Steam account get EA access automatically?
