Leave it to GGG to make simply downloading the game some overly complex task. I guess they're now being compared to Blizzard in terms of failing to launch on time and having multiple issues on release. I'd say that comes with the territory of every big launch, but I was assured GGG was professional and didn't have the issues Blizz had. I was told d4 bad...

So GGG still sucks on big release, every single time, after all these years.
They should release the torrent before the standalone client to reduce the server load. |

It doesn't let you choose where to install. Defaults to drive C, which is annoying. If that's the case, you can manually copy the entire folder from here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games Then paste it at your desired location and run PathOfExile.exe within Path of Exile 2 folder to install the game on desired drive. | |

to be clear, everyone who ran launcher to download is stuck at "connecting..." right?

Had to reopen the client a couple times, but fully downloaded and quite quickly too.
