[POE 2] Pause at Boss question

I understand pausing the game stops things from attacking you, but your friend will still be getting attacked.

So, I assume if you are in a boss room and PAUSE while a friend is in there with you, it makes you invulnerable without actually affecting the boss?

If that is the case, people who buy boss runs, could they not go in boss room, boss starts, buyer just pauses while the seller does the killing? No need to worry about mechanics?

Do you gain XP and get loot credit for stuff dying while you are paused?

Where did you hear this?

My understanding was that while in party play, the game could be paused for all players by any member of the party, and then any member of the party could then unpause the game, but the pause would still be for all in the instance...

It wouldn't make much sense for it to work the way you described.

ah ok, yah for all players makes more sense for sure. I don't know which stream I heard it on since they are all talking about the same things, but I might have just misunderstood them explaining it.
