What does it mean by early access OR POE2 key?

On the early access page it says under the options "Path of Exile 2 Early Access or Path of Exile 2 Key" I have no idea what this means. If I have the early access key what do I lose out on or vice versa?

It means that the purchase will either flag your account for Early Access, or, if you already have access, it will provide you with a key to give to somebody else.

I have early access tied to my poe account. The key I have is for 3rd party accounts, e.g. Steam and Epic (not yet available) which adds the launcher to my steam library. At least that's how I understand it.
