If I buy both xbox and steam
If I buy through steam for $30 and $30 by Xbox by playing the same ID, will it be upgraded to $60 $ pack Lord of Ogham supporter?
I just want to be able to play every platform I have so I don't have to buy $60 to play with just one option. Last bumped on Dec 1, 2024, 11:52:58 AM

No, the upgrade to the $60 tier is a separate transaction than the $30 tier, if you bought the $30 tier on xbox and then PC you'd have an additional key to give away (I think) and I don't think the XBOX tiers include keys to give away at any tier.
If you do want the MTXs but are uninterested in the physical goods or keys to give away then the XBOX packs are fundamentally a better deal since the top end pack is $370 since it omits the implied physical goods (which you would then decline for extra points) in favor of sweet, sweet savings. " My understanding is that if you spend $30 you get Early Access, on all platforms, so long as your accounts are linked, and you will be able to swap from PC to Xbox or PlayStation. The game is cross-play and cross-progression. If you want to spend $60, you can either buy the $60 pack or upgrade if you previously bought the $30 one. |

" My understanding was that any early access gets you PC early access, but only the console specific EA packs get you EA on that platform. IGN : Reamus

" PC Early Access gives you access via standalone client or Steam; Epic keys are still not available. The Steam key only unlocks the game client in your Steam library, making it installable; it is not a separately transferrable key, so you can't give it away to other players. I'm pretty sure that this language was only added to the my-account/early-access page recently: "Please note this key only unlocks the client in your library, it will not provide early access to your account and should not be given away." Early access on XBox needs a separate key for that platform -- if you want to play on PC and XBox, you will need to buy keys on both platforms, although your mtx (like stash tabs) will work across PC and XBox. Early access on PlayStation requires a separate key as well, but mtx do not cross over with either PC or XBox, because Sony sucks. Your characters should be available across platforms, although I'm not sure how PSN's mtx restrictions will work with e.g. extra character slots. The artist formerly known as Waitubold. Right, but I'm fairly certain ANY of the EA (steam, epic, xbox, ps5) would grant access to the standalone client.

" I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. GGG are fairly limited in the extent to which they can allow purchases on one platform to be applied to other platforms. The standalone client is entirely theirs to control, and Steam gives keys to developers at no cost to distribute through other channels as they please (which is probably why you also get a Steam key with your PC EA access), but XBox isn't, and PlayStation is even worse. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this question was directly answered more than once in the last week by Jonathan in all those interviews he was doing. The best way to find out for sure is to email support and ask, if your situation is such that you need clarification. The artist formerly known as Waitubold. I have EA access on my GGG account, and when I switch to my linked PlayStation and Xbox accounts they also say, "Your account will be allowed to log in and play during Path of Exile 2 Early Access."
It's not particularly clear, so I guess we'll find out after launch :-) |

Support has said many times a PC key will not give access to xbox or ps you'll have to buy from xbox store or ps store if you wanna do cross progression in EA
