PoE2 RMT: Swipe or Grind?
Hey folks, just snagged a 30€ EA key for PoE2 and immediately made the mistake of checking that RMT site. Now I’m clutching my stash tabs in terror. Will PoE2 just be "Path of Exile: Credit Card Edition"? I love the grind, but I’m worried everyone else will swipe their way to god-tier builds. What do you think? Are we doomed to swipe or thrive in the grind?

Why do you care?
It has absolutely no effect on you other than the market keeps moving. I also think you're highly overestimating the amount of people who do actually do that as opposed to the people who don't. |

POE any version in trade game mode is always Credit Card Edition. The Currency Exchange makes it somewhat more palatable for more casual players that don't want to deal with the RMT/bot fueled and manipulated trade market, and currency exchange will be in POE2 as well.

yes , its true , everybody will RMT , and you will be left behind , better pay 1000000000000dollars , or you are not a good gamer , hurry .

Most people don't RMT. At least I choose to believe this.

" It does have an effect on the market. People who rmt has a lot more currency to spend so will just buy anything they want potentially items on trade that you want which means their availability/price will be restricted. |

That one discord that should be banned , ruins the economy worse then any RMT.
and they also do RMT . and coz people are smart , GGG has to let them exist . |

RMT happens in all video games with progression, XP, an economy and grind. The more popular the game is and the harder the grind is, the more RMT will happen. It's just the way of the internet.
All you can do as a player is to say "no" and stay away from corners of the market you know/suspect is connected to RMT and report whatever shady things you come across. RTM is like any other form of cheating. No matter how proactive GGG are, they will always be one step behind the cheaters, and in most cases they have to be reactive rather than proactive, which takes a lot of resources. Cheaters will always be egoistic people that don't care about other people's experience or joy. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Dec 1, 2024, 7:28:32 AM
