Overlay map contrast improvements, to enable lighter environments.....

Please, especially for POE2, come up with some improvement to the overlay-map so we can see it in light environments.. so you can design more light environments!

POE1 environments are 90% incredibly dark... and I've come to believe this is because the overlay map is only really visible on dark-tile maps. (because in light maps like desert you can barely see the overlay map)

Yet playing in light colored maps is really more pleasant (for me at least).

It seems like a reasonable solution to this problem is to make some special code to make the overlay map visible regardless of the environment color theme.

Here are some ideas about how to do this:

1. make 3 alternative contrasts (white,mid-grey, black) for the overlay map
(a) manually grade each environment for which will be most visible
(b) add shader code to the fullscreen pass to calculate what map color will be most visible, and choose that one (with some kind of minimum-time-to-change threshold, so it never flashes)

2. make 2 alternative contrasts for the overlay map (current mid-grey, and custom), and let us set the custom contrast color. Then give us a hotkey to toggle between normal and high contrast. (some will choose black, some will choose bright pink, but hey, at least we'll be able to see the map on light environments)

3.
