First Time Player needs help with skill build for gladiator.
Hello, I would like some feedback on this skill build. I'm a new casual player and went for a bleed build as dual swords. Not optimal I know, but I wanted to play it. I don't imagine I will be doing any end game content considering that this is my first character. So this is what I managed to build. I would like to know the pros and cons that I may run into later into the game aside from lower DPS. I plan to remove one skill point later to get vicious skewering if it is still possible. Thank you.

Honestly, if you're dual wielding you should focus on Damage over Time Multiplier/Physical Damage over Time Multiplier modifiers on both weapons and through skill tree passives at the moment and find a balance between life and elemental res amongst your armour and gear instead (including gloves/boots/helmet) as you progress through campaign.
If you start going through Atlas (end-game content) later on, you'll slowly start pouring more focus on the Damage over Time Multiplier and Max Life modifiers being applied almost on all gear while maintaining your resistances, if you can. As for your skill tree, the biggest thing is that you need to ascend your Duelist build into Gladiator asap (10-12 levels above the required amount for each Labryinth trial makes the ascendancy runs easier in my honest opinion) and get the following in order: - Gratuitous Violence - Determined Survivor - Jagged Technique - War of Attrition The first ascendancy will help with damage immensely, and the 3rd ascendancy will help with bleed damage specifically. Jagged Technique is basically Aggrevated Bleeding damage turned on all the time, even if the enemy isn't moving. And for the rest of the skill tree, you want to focus on only bleed for the damage. Impale won't do much for this kind of build. Modifiers like increased physical damage and adds # to # physical damage will help, but shouldn't be the focus on the skill tree either, instead you can apply those your weapons too and accessories or find drops that give these modifiers together. You can actually get a lot of life back on your skill tree because of this as well... hell you may be able to open some jewel slots up and gain extra resistances, damaing ailments faster mods, and more damage over time multiplier mods through basic jewels found in through Wraeclast. Good luck. |

Wish I could help. I'm still trying to figure out the Marauder. Good luck.
