poe 2 keys question

Hello, today I received my key for poe2 but I am not sure if I messed up.
I clicked to see my key, and then I went to steam to redeem it. Did I already have access to poe2 without using that key? I mean, I just read now on the forums that people have the game automatically added and given access if you have purhcased 480+ dollars in mtx or a 30$ supporter pack. Was that key meant to be for me to invite a friend? would it be possible to get the key back to invite a friend if thats the case? If I already had access to the game, it wouldnt make sense to apply it to my own steam account... and I didnt know that. Please, could someone clarify this for me? Hi there,
To clarify, when you first receive access to Path of Exile 2's Early Access, the key will automatically be applied to your account. You can navigate to my-account/early-access to confirm if you have recieved access. The Steam Client Key will grant your account access to use the Path of Exile 2 Steam Client, it does not inherently give an account Early Access. Need help with anything? the two keys i got are just valid for my account on several other platforms age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
