About the Early Access..

Ok, so I was wondering if I should ever even buy the Early access, (I'm new here) I got addicted to Diablo IV. People told me this is even going to be "Better".

So I'm just asking. what does Early access do? Is my progress from Early access carry on to the Release of the game? Is the Early access pack even worth (like the coins)? how much can it even buy in the in game shop?

I'm willing to buy just 30$ access pack or the 60$ depending on the replies.

(I didn't managed to watch the Livestream cuz job and sh1t.. but i'm getting fired so I might just wanna no life this game nonstop for awhile.)

Early access package allows you to install game client on the 6th of December and adds 300 currency to your account.

About what to spend that for, here is forum topic with exactly this question:

long story short - best is to wait for stash tab bundles which are on sale very often and adds some QoL improvement

If i remember correctly there won't be reset, Early access acts as season - please someone confirm that please.

if you actually got addicted to d4 the moment you will login in PoE 2 you will never want to open again d4 in your life

It may not be the case:) D4 is from some perspective a good game, its just that it is VERY different than PoE. We have some small overlap of target audience for both PoE and D4 but i think that majority of that audience is different and we should not compare. Just enjoy what brings fun without judging:) I will still play both.

POE1 is very different, but POE 2 is a third game.. and I think will steal more D4 players than POE 1 did.
If you are used to paying $20-30 for a regular "pay2play" game then I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Going by what they showed in the livestream, there's easily several 100 hours of gameplay in the game already. Probably more.

If it turns out you like the game and are willing to invest some time into it, you'll need the 300 coins anyway to buy some stash tabes. Most PoE 1 players have spent roughly this amount for stash tabs. It's the only "required" MTX in the game.

As for your other question:

Characters from EA will be stuck in their own EA league once the full release comes. Thar means you'll still be able to play them, but they won't be part of the regular game economy. They won't join Standard league, which all characters made after release will eventually end up in (with some exceptions).
I see, so early access really is just Early access.

It's technically not going to be part of the main release of "Game" so in theory anything made in the early access won't be available in the release / standard. as so, this basically means I have to make a new character all over again when the release is here since Early access stuff tends to be imbalance in a way.

Hmm. I see EA definitely is an EA. I might buy the 60$ one since it costs basically same as any other game now.

I can tell you from experience that GGG's work is worth supporting , and I don't think you'll regret jumping in early.

have you ever played poe before? while i would like to suggest you buy the pack just to support ggg, i also strongly advise you not to spend money right now if you never played poe before.

poe2 will be just as complex if not more as poe1, and if you never played it before i would advice you to first play poe1 for a few weeks, dont worry early acces of poe2 is planed to be around 6 months, and when it is fully released it will also be free to play with the same monetary system as poe 1

so if you never played poe1 before do that first, and if you never done so, just for the sake of first time experience, do not look up any build guides, only do so once you get truely stuck, and when that happens check out pohx righteous fire

I have to disagree. PoE2 is going to be very different from PoE1, and much more new-player friendly; also, PoE2 starts in only a week, which isn't nearly enough time to really get to grips with PoE1. Don't get me wrong, I love PoE1, and if this question were being asked a month ago I'd have said to dive right in, but with only a week to go? I have to recommend skipping PoE1 at this point, and just diving into PoE2's early access. PoE1 will still be there later for anyone who wants to go back and see where this glorious madness all started.
