480 Dollar for free early access?
Does this hold true for console bros as well?

yes. it's in the announcement:
" you have to have spent that threshold on the platform (PC, PS, XBox) to get an access key for that platform. |
|
" Have they specifically said that? I thought that everyone who met the $480 threshold on any platform would get an early access key for PC, regardless of what platform the spending was on. At least, that's what was said in one of the interviews. But maybe they didn't intend to phrase it that way. Also, in case anyone reading this thread is freaked by the $480 amount, if you haven't spent that much already, you can buy early access for $30. There is no need to spend that much to get access.
I heard that same phrasing and made the same assumption initially. However it would be illogical for someone that only plays on console, that paid that amount in the past on a console platform to get a key on the PC platform where they don't play.
Guess the real answer will only come to light on Dec 6th. |

" I suspect that the logic you're missing is they don't have to come to any kind of agreement with Microsoft or Sony to give away PC keys. If they want to give away stuff for other platforms, they probably need to work with those companies. For sure if they want it to do anything through the appropriate console stores.
According to that website I have spent well over 900 bucks.
Give key GGG ^^ |

" They said a few days ago that they would hand out the keys "over the next two weeks", which implies they are not all going out at once. You'll get one before Dec 6, or on Dec 6 at the latest.
480 US $ on any single platform gets you free key, that is to say if you spent 200 on PC and 300 on PS and 400 on Xbox you don’t get one. You will get it (reports are that some people already have) between now and the launch of EA.
This is all from the FAQ |
