EA key question in regards to steam and ps5

Hello there,

i hope to find an answer to my question here.

Is it possible to buy the support pack for early access on steam and also be able to play on PS5?

Because my wife has home office and i have rotating shifts, so when she is working on the pc i just play some PS5 in my free time.

I know that account sharing does work but i wonder if it also applies for the Steam EA key.

Or should i go vanilla and buy it directly from the Path of Exile site and client?

A key is specifically tied to the platform it was purchased on. If you have Early Access for any PC platform, then you will be able to play using standalone, Steam, or Epic.

If you wish to play Early Access via console, you'll need the appropriate console key to add the game to your library, such as from purchasing one of the console Early Access Supporter Packs on that respective platform.

To be clear, an Early Access key purchased through PC cannot be redeemed on Xbox or PlayStation. But once you do have access on your game account, Path of Exile 2 is cross-platform so characters and progress would be shared regardless as to which platform you are playing on, as long as your accounts are appropriately linked to your Path of Exile 2 account before making a purchase.

Supporter Packs for Sony realms (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) will become available on December 6th PST when Path of Exile 2 launches in Early Access.

So I was interpreting it correctly that once you have access on your PC account you will have it on your PS 5 account too, after using the link to add it to your library that is?

You say before making a purchase though, that might be good to clarify if that's important as I was going to wait for the access for lifetime support to be added before figuring out the linking bit. (Just bought the PS 5 for PoE 2 and Gran Turismo so never played PoE on it)

Edit: I think it's this line that confuses a lot to assume you would need two EA keys.

Please note these keys only unlock the client in your library, they do not on their own provide early access to your account.
