Question on combined PC and PS5 early access (please clarify)

If I buy a supporter pack on PC to gain early access, will this suffice to play early access on PS5, too? This is not clear to me from the official posts.

(I'm aware that I can merge my accounts, but I won't be able to use the microtransactions bought on the "other" system, respectively, this was answered in the changes to the accounts post. From this sentence in the early access FAQ: "Please note these keys only unlock the client in your library, they do not on their own provide early access to your account." I assume, that buying one supporter pack won't let me play early access on both platforms, either, but mostly things are refered to on an account base, so I'm not certain, and I have read people claiming otherwise.
This thread is not meant to complain about the situation, I just would like clarification - because of system requirements, I'd rather start on the PS5, but I don't care about micro transactions, I guess I won't need many stash tabs there, either, and if I have the choice, I just assume that more of that money reaches ggg, if bought for PC.)

Looking very much forward to things! :)

+ same question! Can I buy $30 early access on PC and play PS 5
Same question essentially but for Xbox and how do we merge accounts for cross progression?

The merging is answered in their account system thread from some time ago: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3586288
In the "Merging Other Platform Accounts" section, the word "merge" is a link.
(Also have a look at the "After linking my Xbox and PC accounts, can I use microtransactions that were purchased on my Xbox account on my PC account and vice versa?"-FAQ at the bottom of the op, there.)

For XBox, I would be very surprised if it does not work, because even for your microtransactions it works, and I just assume, that they would have to write that caveat, if it exists. But, of course, this is only my assumption... ;)

i'm going to say no.

The whole point of sony blocking cross platform MTX is to try force the players to buy through their platform and that would include the keys.

But you could try emailing support and asking.

A key is specifically tied to the platform it was purchased on. If you have Early Access for any PC platform, then you will be able to play using standalone, Steam, or Epic.

If you wish to play Early Access via console, you'll need the appropriate console key to add the game to your library, such as from purchasing one of the console Early Access Supporter Packs on that respective platform.

To be clear, an Early Access key purchased for PC cannot be redeemed on Xbox or PlayStation. But once you do have access on your game account, Path of Exile 2 is cross-platform so characters and progress would be shared regardless as to which platform you are playing on, as long as your accounts are appropriately linked to your Path of Exile 2 account before making a purchase.

Supporter Packs for Sony realms (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) will become available on December 6th PST when Path of Exile 2 launches in Early Access.

You can find these answers to frequently-asked questions regarding the Early Access here

Thanks a lot for the reply, I understand from your second paragraph, that I have to buy the supporter pack from the PS store, then.

But, haha, your "to be clear" section at least for me makes it unclear again, sorry...^^' "Redeeming" does not strictly imply "using", and the explicit note, that "characters and progress [will] be shared" for properly linked accounts in this context, let's me again read the possibility into it, that I could link my accounts, buy and "redeem" the early access token on PC, and then still "play" in early access with the merged account on PS5.

I assume however, this was more aimed for me redeeming a key for both PS and PC, or in any case after the real release. Oh well, then I guess, I'll have some stash tabs on PS5, too, starting December 6th. :)

Yes, apologies. So as to double clarify, you would still have to purchase a supporter pack on the console of your choice to be able to get early access on that console, as purchasing a supporter pack on a PC game storefront only unlocks early access for PC.
I bought the 480 usd package that comes with 4 extra keys. Can I use one of the extra keys for console ? The 4 extra keys is pc only ?

Thanks again! To be honest, for Playstation (my case) that was expected, I just was not 100% certain - but you are including XBox here, too, and for XBox this really reads different (to me at least!) in your official statements, because it is emphasized everywhere, that your microtransactions can be used everywhere, your accounts are merged, and the only exclusion I found is the whole Playstation stuff.

I would suggest to explicitely put this at least in a FAQ part 2, that people are not disappointed, when learning this too late. (At least if I didn't just overlook it.)

With that I'm out, thanks again, can't wait for the 6th! :)
