Shipping Prices on Core Supporter Packs
Not sure if this is intended or whatever, but what is actually going on with the shipping prices at the moment? Is it intended for shipping to Australia to be $132USD for the shirt, hoodie and art book? That's $202 AUD at the moment, which is eye watering.
I'd love to support with the top tier pack in the coming future during EA (and get some cool merch out of it), but that's $200 on shipping alone. Will there be revised shipping costs coming or is this what is expected with the new distribution partner? On an aside, I have read that people in US are getting their orders quite fast which is great, but seems anyone out of the North America zone is getting ridiculous shipping fees which are making people hold off on supporting further. at this point one might as well investigate the shipping forwarding services, usually for items that are not eligible for international shipping but hell, it might just be cheaper than this lol

Well considering this was originally posted in the Help & Information section and moved to General Discussion, I assume that GGG deems the pricing acceptable with no issues.
I do have an old freight forwarding account but haven't needed it in literal years, shocking that it might be needed now for 2 pieces of clothing and a book. More shocking is that double dipping shipping from distributer to forwarder, then forwarder to AUS is cheaper... |

It really seems like GGG contracted out the service, probably the cheapest contractor who is passing the costs and the markups to the end user.
It really is a shame, as free shipping is so common with merchandise today. I can order stuff from China with free or very cheap shipping and get it in less than a week to North America. |

you can't compare chinas shipping to something originating from US neither- they have local distribution networks and their own courier services in most countries. now, if ggg would manufacture this stuff in china then that's another story. but yeah there still are alternatives to ship things out from US but i'm not sure if it would be appropriate for higher volumes, i wonder how the merch stores do it for youtubers, they used to be big on this stuff and its about the same volume as the ggg swag.

I really want the hoodie and the $240 pack but NOT until i find out shipping cost. I am definitely holding out and will ultimately not buy a higher end supporter pack if the shipping isn't addressed. Its really silly GGG is big enough they could have these items produced and shipped from a distributor in America cutting the costs substantially for those of us 1/2 way around the world.

" This is the core issue, I think GGG is actually going to lose out because of the higher shipping costs for merch. I'm seeing as high as $130 ish USD for top tier packs shipping to Oceania. One guy I know bought 3 or 4 $480 packs in a row, now only buying a lower tier solely because of the increased costs. And the option to give points instead of physical merch isn't really a good trade off, its something, but not the same. |

Yeah, on the pathofexile reddit we have 2 main things popping up in regards to shipping.
For North America, shipping is amazing, cheap and at their door in a matter of days. For everyone else outside North America, its ridiculously expensive and pretty much GGG are losing people willing to spend the $480 due to the shipping cost. I'm currently in the MAYBE if I get it freight forwarded, my account spend is just over the $480 threshold so I should have a EA key. This Is just "I want to support more but shipping is definitely holding me back". 1/4 of the packs cost in shipping on top... |
