No PoE2 Early Access-Access

People and GGG says be patient but 2 weeks puts you right at the date of release. Not exactly acceptable when you consider how much drive is lost if your not there at the moment of release. They suggest even to wait until after release before notifying them if you did not receive the key. It's clearly a FOMO push to get more sales from people who already meet the requirements.


I get your point and nobody is going to wait until after release but buying a pack takes 2 minutes and gives you instant access, with EA still nearly 2 weeks away I can't see how waiting a week or even 10 days could lead you to missing out on anything.

Why would this take two weeks to send out invites? Surely it doesn't take that long to figure out which accounts have spent >$480, just flag them all for an invite.

Saying "it'll happen at an unspecified time in the next two weeks, maybe we won't make it before release" is just an unprofessional way to treat people who are their best customers.

They should be doing everything possible to cater to people who have spent more than $500 on their game lol

Have you ever seen a company that's somewhat Indy calculate early access by previous expenditure? I haven't. This likely isn't an easy query based on how accounts are integrated into the game.

Furthermore, regional currencies.etc exacerbate the problem.

Just sit back and stop freaking out.

The only thing that people are scared is not having access on the first day of EA after supporting the game heavily in the detriment of someone that pays 30$ now. To say that would be received badly is an understatement.

Not saying that it will but with 2 weeks only prior to it starting and not having a clear day when we receive the access as long standing supporters... and the message that says wait until it starts and then if you do not receive send the request to customer support --- that implies that we might get into a situation like that which none of us wants.

Nah it's a VERY easy query. They are a company. They have to have a full track record of EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION. I worked for multiple game companies and all of them had very easy to handle tools to see what a player did in terms of money.
The only time consuming thing is the time it takes to query all accounts that are above a limit, e.g. here it is $480, but even that should be something that should at max take a few hours as we don't talk about large scale like e.g. Youtube or Facebook.

Bro anyone can literally look at my account page and see the spends. They have this data in a database, it's not rocket science. Converting currencies takes 3 seconds on excel.

They absolutely know exactly which accounts are whales and probably count them quarter to quarter. What planet are you living on, they're just being lazy/weird by not doing it immediately.

Which is especially silly given that these are literally their best customers and the people they most want to retain, why antagonize them needlessly with such a simple thing?

Yeah, I can understand what you mean. It all comes down to respect, not some 30 bucks. They didn't lie tho. If the wording was different I wouldn't mind even if I get the key 2 hours before the start, but with these lines I genuinely got confused lol

The company is great, their games are the best in the genre, the visuals, the music, etc., TOP, but honestly they need to hire a typography guy asap.
