Long standing issue with stat description and suggestion of a flair system for stats.
I am pretty sure this has been a problem since forever.
Consider the two stats below with identical description: "25% chance to poison on Hit" on weapon only work with attack or spells that specifically state that it use your weapon. "5% chance to poison on Hit" from anywhere else that is not your weapon (including other pieces of gear like glove or quiver) is global and work for everything that hit. I suggest adding a flair system that similar to tag on each of the stat to let player know if said stat work with attack/spell/attack totem/spell totem/attack minion/spell minion/trap/mine/brand etc. or at least state if the stat is local/global/proxies applicable/minion applicable If it is too much to ask then please at least update the description to something like "25% chance to poison on Hit with this weapon" or "5% chance for you, your minion or your proxies to poison on Hit". As of now, if a player make a build using any mechanic other than "I do a skill, I deal damage" they have to look up and down the wiki to make sure each and every stat they get from passive tree or gear is relevant for their build. Not to mention there are stats that is impossible to test with reasonable effort and still up to debate among players such as "Enemies poisoned by you cannot deal Critical Strikes", "Enemies poisoned by you have -5% chaos resistance" (when doing totem or trap for example.) because "You" is not consistence when using totem. For example, when using Herald of Agony, poison caused by totem is NOT considered as "you" for "Gain Virulence when you poison an enemy" but the poison prolif (from Bino's or Pathfinder) that cascade from the poison caused by totem IS "you". And then on Poison Mastery "Poison you inflict on non-poisoned enemies deal 300% increased damage" and "Poison you inflict deal damage 20% faster" consider totem IS "you". The same is going on with ignite as well but I think that was enough of a point. Please I beg you GGG, if you have free time after finish preparing for PoE2 launch, please please please take an initial step toward sorting out this issue. I personally think player would enjoy playing the game more than reading wiki. At the moment, I would love to have just a reply that clarify the wording of stats that include "you", which one work with totem/trap/mine/minion/brand to quote on Wiki to at least have all of them in one place for players to look. Edit: Adding another example. The Fire damage and Physical damage in the unveil below have very similar composition: percentage damage and chance to inflict associated ailment, yet the Fire mod is global and Physical mod is local. It just a long standing inconsistency in mods that inflict debuff/ailments as well as it is local or global
For impale, weapon mod which is local, and glove mod which obviously global , uses the same wording "chance to Impale Enemies on Hit with Attacks", so that RIP for people get baited to think the weapon mod is global, as WTF it is the same fucking wording as gloves This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. Honestly this would have been way less of a headache for them if they either made every mode global, or just labelled them local or global when holding down the more info key.

" funny thing is, the stat id behind the mod text, they remember to add the wording local and global in it, just on the front end, casually use a not systematically mod text scheme This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee.
