Need to reset password to login into client

I haven't play POE for couple of months, before it was on windows. Recently I installed the windows client (not Steam) on linux with Heroic Games Launcher.

When I try to login to the client it says "Invalid password for the account", I can still login on the website just not on the client. I'm 100% sure that there is no typo as i'm using password manager.

I did a password reset and somehow I can login now. I'm just wondering if this is a bug or a feature. Just to be safe incase of password restriction, my new password is 50 characters alphanumeric plus \ / | _ -

PS: Please add oauth 2FA, it dosen't kill to make account safer. 1 data breach is all it takes and bye-bye account

I don't know what you're talking about. I can login into my poe account with just email and password. My home ip already changed a few times since my last login.

If you're talking about securing your email with 2FA, it still dosen't help if your poe email & password is compromised. Plus you basically putting your eggs in one basket if you only rely on your email provider 2FA.

In this case if my email is somehow compromised, the hackerman can just reset my poe password and change my poe email.

I personally don't trust any single infrastructure even if its owned by billion dollar company. Software isn't perfect, there will always be exploit. Data breach happens basically every day.

I use keepassxc and the password for all my accounts are randomly generated plus totp 2FA when available. Even in this setup my accounts aren't 100% safe. I already dump money into poe, that's why I want it to be better secured.
