Death penalty, itemization, and my disapointment

I know i know many like it.....I DONT and i know many, many, many feels the same as me aswell. I bet majority of playerbase wants no annoying -10%. Let me put it this way....Because of it i dont really try so much challenging stuff in this game. I havent really the motivation at all for it because you know -10 %....It is extremely annoying to die if you are at say level 98 or so. My characters can do harder stuff than i usually do but i just dont. Many bosses and even maps i have never even seen and i have played this game for years. I just died at level 98 today. It was 100% my own fault i know i know just gonna say this at first before all the no-life people posts here with their usual insults.. The death was in delve. I forgot to check if i had flares and then the bats killed me in the darkness...Your game is simply so freaking annoying at times even when its all on me. That was probably the last visit in the mines for me... If i am close to a new level i simply play a lot of yellow tier maps....I play slower and its literally the most boring part of a character progress in a so called arpg...It is so boring that i often die even here and then its just me almost in a sleep state of boredom dieing which could be prevented if i did hold the attack button with more passion if you know what i mean... So once again i say to you ggg....remove that death penalty or make a own league for us casual players...I dont know about others but for me this -10% is really killing motivation playing this game at all...Feels bad qutting the game after buying so many tabs...and because of the boredom -10% and the playstyle that becomes a reality because of it, it kinda feels like torture or a prison in a way... This dinosaur mentality because of diablo ( -10 % ) you copycats!!!...Its almost like a religion...listen to us that should be your religion nothing else. Items This game doesnt have any charm any longer....A game based on loot and we dont even pick it up....That is an itemization failure at the higest level, yes at the absolute higest level, sorry but its the truth and you know it ggg but have developed the game to be worse and worse, i liked earlier versions of poe more and i feel like scammed in a way by you ggg because of it, i know you havent scammed me of course but it sure feels like it when the game less and less is about picking up items, i wanted a better arpg experience than d3 which was the game i played way back years ago before i started my poe journey, but the thing is poe became something else and i wanted to play an arpg not this whatever poe is now...Its not an arpg imo when the only items being used has been crafted...Its supposed to be a loot game ggg...but you made a game we only pick up crafting materials...this alone is a disaster in a arpg if you want it to be a true arpg...a fun arpg for me is when items that drop has potential, that gives meaning to play any map, but this game is not fun when all you do is gathering resources and collect divine orbs to buy other peoples crafted items. Whats the point playing really when its designed like that...such a hamster wheel game...This is probably the main reason why poe is not that great. The game feels so empty, i dont feel anything any longer...It has been like this for tooooo long...why not just remove all non unique items to drop, your servers would maybe perform better because they suck too...(eu servers) Everyone that asks me about poe i will direct to another game unless they want to play an action game looking like an arpg but is not an arpg...I will probably badmouth your game so they dont even try it for obvious reasons. Your game is extremely overrated imo but maybe that is because of all the other bad arpgs out there...maybe all arpgs is bad games in general... poe 2, i was so hyped...but i am not gonna play it because that game will also end up as an action game only and that will turn it boring very fast for me...I am not gonna bother with it, i already play a game based on loot where we dont pick up loot...dont need another. GGG i am serious i want atleast half the money i spent on your tabs back because its just right when you did not make an arpg and you sold your game as if it was...Half on every tab is fair i have played a lot so 100 % back wouldnt be right, all was bought at the discount price you often have. 1 currency, 1 essence, about 50 premium tabs and about 10 regular...its not even much... Thank you a disapointed customer that wants his money back...as fast as possible- yetserday if you know what i mean... Buy a dog and get a cat delivered that is what you did ggg and i am not accepting it... Since poe is not an arpg then we can compare it with all other action games like, i dunno witcher, dark souls, skyrim, resident evil etc whatever really. PoE is far from Witcher games.
I used to think the same way but that is waht it is - to reach lvl 100 you need to plan, stay focused and be persistent. I know because for the very first time i reached lvl 100 during this event. |

How about push for content when you're at 0% xp and grind for lvl when you feel like it? its not like those 2 last skillpoints will make any difference if you're that screwed by the -10%.
And if you are ... There are Omens to buy/get. Speaking of Items, if you think its too much of a chore. Have you tried SSF? Feels like a completely different game when you have to farm your items/gear yourself and cant just hide everything on the loot filter |

i used to be a huge advocate for the 10% penalty. but with the huge amount of things that can cause large damagespikes, i've changed my view. also the prestige of getting to 100 is now decreased a huge lot when players could just buy into xp parties running content that give a lot of xp in a short time.
also players now can hit 100 in a few days from zero. the omen HELPED A HUGE LOT THO. i m on my path to 100 now. i currently have 40%ish xp AFTER dying 3 times. without the omens i would be down to 10% ish. GGG doesnt want to give "0 penalty" but i guess i m very thankful that we have this solution now. [Removed by Support]

What a wall of text to say "I quit"... Or not? Maybe it's just a cry for help? If so, then:
For -10%: 1. decide, what you want to do and keep focused. If you want to go for level then go for level and adjust everything around it. 2. build more tanky 3. use omen For items: What do you really mean? The items didn't go anywhere, they are still on the floor. Feel free to pick them up, identify all of them and at the end you will find some really good pieces. It will take about 100x more time than farming currency and bying crafted item, but you can freely do it. But please don't expect to have high-end gear at the end of first week of the league. Imagine it would be that way - what would you aim for for the rest of the league? Someone before me suggested SSF and I would like to join him/her. Try it... Wish you the best of luck! |

i think i know what op means by the loot.
practically most of the stuff we drop has little to any value. this is inherent due to the drops balanced around trade. playing SSF does zero to help. based on what he mentioned. POE1 as it is simply is not the game he can enjoy. POE2's gem system actually could help a bit with gearing. Also POE2's item system and game itself seems to be centered around magic items so i guess itemization in POE2 could be better for OP. i've actually complained about POE's itemization issue before, but its an inherent problem that GGG could solve with smart loot/well rolled loot but would upset players who are used to how it is currently.
