Challenging Competitors hardly doable for non-streamers

I have now spent over 500 hours in 3.25 and have run a lot of maps, during this time I have met Admiral Valerius 8 times.
I have never seen either Sasan or the Black Knight. I know how they spawn, Sasan with the high tier mappers and the black knight over the Starfall crater. in the mean time i had 5 nameless seer.

So I wouldn't describe myself as a hardcore gamer, neither in general nor by Poe standards, but the chance of encountering Sasan and the Black Knight is simply far too low... I personally think it's a shame, 1. I would like to play this new content , and 2. I would like to complete the challenge for it, which is not possible if I never meet them? So please make them more achieveable, since you dont complete the challgenge by just defeatin them, you also need to be able to try them more than once, and i would really like to get this challenge done by skill not by pure luck

They may have done a better job with this one, that's for sure. Sasan has a reasonably high spawn rate once you run all 3 map devices, but this costs a shit ton of gold. Like 50k per hour just to keep this up. If you're able to farm T17 strats and pull out 100K+ out of a ten-minute full clear map then sure. But most players don't run these strats.

Starfall crater though, this is very rare. I had him maybe 4 times and I did a lot of maps, like at least 1200 of them.

You are better off just going to TFT and purchasing a carry for this challenge, not because you can't do it, but because it's too rare to even attempt it. They won't even sell a carry, just a portal for you to kill the boss.

I have well under 500 hours in 3.25 and am certainly not a streamer. I have encountered Sasan dozens of times. Maybe this will help you:

1) You don't need to have all 3 map devices. I ran 1 device most of the time and 2 devices less than 1/3 of my play time. I never once used the 3rd device. You do need to make sure they are all T16 maps (he won't show up at all for lower maps--I've tried).

2) I believe I had a grand total of 2 L10 mappers and not that many 9s even. Most were 7s and 8s. I just didn't play enough to find more. But you don't even need a single L10 if you do it right. The thing to realize is that your mapper level determines where the line is for total map quant that you can run and still be at 1% death chance. For me, it was 65%. So I would purposely roll my maps rare and LOW to be below this line (alt spam for 1 mod + regal). This saves you a TON of gold. (Your loot from the maps won't be as good but I didn't care about that).

During the period of time that I played, I kept my 1-2 map devices running almost 24/7 (even though I wasn't playing nearly that much). This allowed me to run into Sasan 2-3 times per day. His challenge is also super easy. If you are even a half decent player, you are likely to nail the challenges for him in 1 try.

Starfall crater is super rare. Can't help you on that one.

Starfall Crater seems to be heavy RNG.

On my first char I encountered Black Knight so much, I actually think it's the most I fought any of the 3 bosses.

Now on my second one I didn't get to fight him even once in 98 levels iirc.


Sassan on the other hand is pretty rare and I think I only encountered him 3 times.

Not sure how many hours I played this league, but it was alot.

Black Knight is honestly just RNG. I had occassions where he spawned multiple times per week and then several weeks without seeing him at all. Just keep running maps, the league is still 2 months at least so you've got plenty of time left.
