ward breaking - suggestion

I have found ward to be really cool, and think there is some room to make it shine just as brightly as it could.

right now the only way to really run "ward only", is by having 3 uniques and have -85% ward. be it with gloves belt and helm and or flask. I'd love if ward in it's inate ability would break over time, say it takes 3 seconds to lose your ward and then 2 seconds to regain it. that way you could make a play style around it without needing the flask or secondary hp pool!
