Omen of Amelioration - why does it work at 100 level?

As the title says. It's stupid idea to make it work on level where you cannot reach more XP and the same with losing. So I'm asking why it's not changed.

Its very easy to understand why the OP took this stance on the item.

As a videogame it doesn't make sense for it to happen because its a pointless loss for the player but as path of exile being so literal is quite important but they could fix the wording if they chose to but it makes sense why it functions as it does only in that context.

Its bad design imo because its only going to probably hurt newer or less experienced players.

I don't see it as a severe problem given the way the game works, but the initial frustration felt by some based on game mechanics in general historically makes sense.

Personally I'm just glad its in the game, I asked for this item quite a bit over the years as a tool to alleviate complaints on not being able to reach 100 because of xp loss and so many threads trying to have it removed from the game.

By making it take up inventory space (concept was much larger than 1 slot for the final version of the omen instead of one slot) it was supposed to somewhat curb the usage by higher end players because it would eat up too much inventory.

im 50/50 on the omens being able to be consumed in that way with no way to turn it off so if you're farming them you don't accidentally trigger some on the way out of the map, but at the same time it offers some risk and advantage over how you handle the omens once you get them.
