Blight is in a very bad place in many ways
This shouldn't be news to anyone at GGG, but I got to vent a bit.
Blight has many serious issues right now. I have a high end computer/graphics card and my computer can barely keep up with blight events in map. They spawn WAY too many monsters when fully juiced. I just crashed the game when I hit the alt key in a LOL attempt to see thousands of items on the ground that the loot filter hides. That just looks bad on the devs. I also find the blight scarabs to be lacking compared to many other scarab types. blighted maps I do find enjoyable to run, but the rewards are underwhelming compared to other game mechanics. And Blight Ravaged maps even more so, the difficulty feels 10x, but the rewards compared to a regular blighted map maybe 2-3x. In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back. Last bumped on Sep 23, 2024, 10:41:38 AM

From my experience monsters are not the main issue. That "Fungal Growths" models are total amateurish unoptimized mess.

A simple explanation for why blights are difficult has a lot to do with neglecting lanes while your CC towers get bogged down with increasing number of enemies. For instance, if you use an empowered seismic tower, virtually nothing will get through, but that also means potentially hundreds of monsters getting stunned all at the same time which the game has to slow down and calculate.
Try supporting them with fireball and/or lightning towers to help kill off the clustered attackers. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

Been trying to say the same but most of the threads i make are filled with attacks on my hardware lol.

Blight has issues and it seems to get worse each league. I still play it regardless but yea its a graphical mess.
I feel like there's not much to do since it really has to do with all that is happening on screen. This is something they probably have "fixed" in POE2 and something that will just be apart of this game. I run a pretty budget setup PC wise, so its not like I have insane hardware and get through it. Alleviating some of it is deleting mobs fast, so getting towers out quickly seems to help... a little bit. Mash the clean
