mamba strike bugged i think

hi, so I'm not really sure why i seem to not be able to apply a poison with my mamba striker sometimes, the 1st poison i apply does 0 or close to no damage, I'm not sure what causes the target to be "poisoned" before i hit it or what going on but basically i put up envy with guardians blessing, focus to trigger my curses with the helm craft, ambush , withering step and strike. it seems like alchemists mark is dropping caustic ground but i cant do the mamba poison for a couple of seconds, every hit i do reapplies the caustic ground form alc mark but doesn't do dmg until i guess whatever is poisoning the target expires. unless I'm missing something I'm pretty sure something in this chain is bugged at this point.

I'm sharing my pob and a video (audio and resolution is cursed my bad) i clipped from a syndicate safehouse (no map mods). id love to know if this is bugged or im just missing something critical

edit: i also tested it on uber bosses\delirious t17 bosses just to make sure its not a dot cap thing. i might be mistaken but hey, who knows

So one thing that throws me off from the other Mamba bug reports is you're using Envy spectres. If the spectres managed to poison or crit (to apply poison) before you hit, then the enemy is poisoned and you cannot override the poison already on them.

If you are still running into the issue without the spectres and without whirling blades applying poison first, then you may be experiencing the same bug as the others reporting it.

hey thanks for responding, i think at this point its something with ambush. i have brutality on the specteres and whirling blades in the clip, from what i test i get the most consistent output without ambush,

oh i think i discovered the culprit!
i removed the focal point forbidden combo and it seems to stop happening
