Long Loading Times and Missing Textures: A possible Solution
Dear,
I use Vulcan as renderer, and a NVIDIA graphic card. I was able to solve the problems mentioned in the title with the following: 1) Start NVIDIA Control Center 2) Go to 3D Settings 3) Go to Shadercache 4) Disable Shadercache 5) Restart PC 6) Go to: C:\Users\”UserName”\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\GLCache 7) Delete the folder named like f5eb80e06e31a 8) Restart PC 9) Enable Shadercache in NVIDIA Control Center Before I did this, I tried some other things mentioned in this forum like: - delete all the folders in C:\Users\”UserName”\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile - install the latest VC_redist.x64.exe from Microsoft - start Path of Exile with the commands --waitforpreload --noasync But all these things did not reduce the long loading times and the missing textures were still missing. With long loading times I mean that it takes 20-30 seconds to load a map or Kingsmarch, also switching zones in the Labyrinth takes around 15 seconds. With missing textures I mean that the ground of a map is not depicted completely at first, only after 1-2 seconds, or that in the Sacred Grove the seeds are not visible at the start, just the disperser. Sometimes entire groups of monsters are not displayed immediately, only after a while. When the characters casts Flammability in a quick succession the red circle is not depicted the first 3 or 4 times, the same goes for Frost Wall, Desecrate, and a lot of other skill I tested. I think in my case the files in the folder f5eb80e06e31a were corrupted. I deleted them manually because disabling the shadercache did not remove them. I hope this helps someone.
