FPS cut in half, cannot figure out why

So I recently got a new pc, 7800x3d and a 4080 super. Upon initial install it would run at 120 fps with all the gsync and low latency settings in place. I later rebooted my pc, changed nothing at all in my computers settings or poe's settings, and poe was now locked in at 225 fps. It felt amazing and I don't know why it was now running fully.

This lasted a few days and now it has reverted back to the 120 fps. Still not one setting changed both on the computer or in game.

Anyone know what is going on and how to fix this? It was absolutely buttery at 225 and my computer can do it but poe just won't do it any more regardless of any settings I try.

Haven't encountered this in other games so far.

Update: I went to bed, woke up and it has now switched back to the 225 fps. I still haven't changed anything. The only thing I noticed was that when locked at 120, GPU utilization would say 100% yet my gpu has temps as if it was idling. Now it's only using 50% of the GPU but it's actually using it as temps are increasing with load. This seems to be independent of any power options in windows settings or nvidia control panel.

Edit: A few days later and still looking for answers. It is simply alternating the days which PoE will use my gpu. After years and years of technical issues with this game I was truly hoping a brand new pc would put me past all that. This is extremely frustrating.
