Consistent Crashing When Loading Between Zones
I am experiencing an issue with POE right now when attempting to load into a character the gears stop turning and the programs moves to a not responding mode. This occurred every so often in the past, but is now occurring almost every time I attempt to load in. On the off chance that this doesn't happen, I can normally play two or three hours at a time before a similar event happens when going from some map to either Karui Shores or my hideout.
Computer specs: Alienware m18 R2, x64 system type, Intel Core i7-14650HX 2200 Mhz 16 core 24 logical CPU, Alienware 1.4.4 BIOS, 32 GB RAM Game Settings: Renderer, Triple Buffering, Multithreading, etc. And if changing any of these helps. Custom resolution 2358x1342, tested on 2048x1152 and 2560x1440 no significant changes, VSync turned off allowed for better frame rate did not affect issue, Triple Buffering disabled, Visuals set to Low - Texture specifically is Medium, Dynamic Culling is enabled, Dynamic Resolution Enabled, Engine Multithreading enabled, Networking set to Lockstep, tested with Predictive - gave 1 more map change in an earlier version of the issue but lowered game play ability, custom Neversink Filter, disabled filter for testing with no improvement. This has also been happening to me recently. The first week and a half of the league was fine, but something recently happened which is causing constant disconnects for me. I found that if I play on a VPN it does not happen but my game lags a lot while I'm on a VPN and I don't really enjoy using it.

Yeah. Seems to be a pretty big issues. I am new to this game. Downloaded it this week, been able to play maybe an hour or so over the whole time. Doesn't speak well to the silence on the devs end. Kinda thinking fuck this whole game and I will find somewhere else to spend my time and money.

Same here.
Happens less on a wired connection than wifi. Switching back and forth through vpn seemed to help temporarily as well. Very curious. I play a lot and everything has been perfectly fine up until the last few days. | |
I got the idea from the forums here, but I was having the same issue. I went into my options on the character selection screen, before you try loading into a town, and I changed my renderer (under options) from DirectX11 to DirectX12, and this has solved my issue at the time.

Interesting, I'm going to try that now!

That seemed to work! Thank you so much!
