Harbingers causing instance crashes
|
About half the time my map instances crash if there are harbingers (using all the atlas nodes and some harb scarabs).
Delirium / no delirium makes no difference, beyond / no beyond makes no difference, cosmetics / no cosmetics makes no difference. Flicker strike could be the issue, or maybe it's flicker with awakened multistrike. Screenshot of bug ref number after a crash has occured and I'm back in the hideout and map portals are gone. Can't really do /bug when the game freezes and boots me to login screen. ![]() Last bumped on Aug 19, 2024, 7:59:00 PM

I decided to test lightning strike instead of flicker. I managed to clear couple maps before instance crash.

I've had similar issue with Molten Strike when mob density gets too high. It usually happens when I get harbinger next to a shrine.
It's hard to /bug since it's an instance crash and well, instance is gone. A fact is a statement that can be supported to be true or false by data or evidence. In contrast, an opinion is a personal expression of a person’s feelings or thoughts that may or may not be based in data.

this is still a thing A fact is a statement that can be supported to be true or false by data or evidence. In contrast, an opinion is a personal expression of a person’s feelings or thoughts that may or may not be based in data.

I've tested multiple different things and it looks like melee splash mechanics could be the cause. So far I've yet to have instance crash when I don't have melee splash from support gem or tribal fury node. Melee splash support instead of tribal fury still caused instance crash. Obviously not having instance crash for 15 maps is not conclusive and further testing is needed, but since the instance crash happens more than half the time with my normal setup, it's looking very likely the crash is related to melee splash.
edit: Just did couple more maps, and instance crashed. No splash / tribal fury, so there goes that theory. Last edited by BORDER_OF_LIFE#3593 on Aug 11, 2024, 4:48:51 PM
