Faustus the broker

I don't know what kind of stuff Faustus is on, but the guy asked me for 18000 gold coins for a trade of 320 chaos to 2 divines. A trade that took me 4 minutes to complete on the regular trade site.

Now, this game has needed an auction house for ages, and this currency trade is a tiny step on the right direction, but the gold cost is just ridiculous. The city on its own, it's a gold sink incredibly steep. They eat gold almost as fast as I can get it, so, if Faustus is going to ask for thousands of gold for each trade, I rather fight him and ransack him of his precious gold.

I make the 18k in 3 maps. I don't really see the problem.

3 maps for a 4 minutes transaction is not a problem? 18k golden coins are good for 3 hours of work of my whole city, this guy is charging that for 4 minutes of work.

If anything it's usury at its finest.

Some of the trades are too expensive, this isn't one of them. You're also not required or forced to use the convenience, as you point out it took you a few mins to trade it 'normally'

And I run those 3 maps in 4 or 5 minutes. So the 18k is the same to me. Still don't see the problem.

The costs are silly, when you have one that costs 18k one way, but to reverse the trade its 200 gold, what's going on?

The trade per chaos is nonsensical if the other trades arent on the same chaos-based version.

This is an ugly, sloppy system made to placate Chris Wilson's ego and years of saying trade systems were impossible.

This is part of what bugs me. 200 gold for that trade seems ok, but 18k for the reverse one is just madness.

Play SSF.

Don't hate the player, hate the game, Faustus is trying to get his coin too, the Fair Marylene isn't cheap to maintain you know!

And afterall, a suckers born every minute with more coin than sense, or at the least, more coin than time, why not shoot the shot, what are you going to do, kick him out of town?
