Complete CPU Freeze in Load Screen or in-game

Game is now completely unplayable for me. It was bad enough having to deal with random 236372 ms ping spikes every few minutes, but now I can't even load into the game - it just completely freezes on loading screens. Image freezes (gears stop moving), but music keeps playing. Can't do anything on my cpu while this happens, forced to shut down with power button.

Any advice? It's not my cpu; I've never had a problem running this game in the past.

yes but older model, i7-9700K
never had this issue before, started yesterday for the first time.

What GPU + driver? if Nvidia > get 552.22

oops, yea 2070 super, will downgrade driver rn, will update.

for sure, let us know how it went. the 552.22 is the most stable of the newer drivers.
